From the graduate arts and humanities students of the University of Melbourne, this anthology of fiction, creative nonfiction, poetry, artwork and scholarly articles tackles the notion of defiance in all its guises. Within its pages are proud proclamations of identity; retaliations against narratives and structures that (try to) pin us down; ruminations on death and restoration; brief rendezvous with the grotesque; tirades against platitudes; commentary on the power of poetry, translation and community art; glimpses of humanity’s possible futures; and much more.
