After William Butler
I know why the moon is stupid.
I think
it's the way it cuts out bits of itself,
hoping the earth will notice it.
Lonely, desperate moon revolves around earth 365 days a year seeking earth's affection.
It doesn't realize earth is doomed without it. It circles still balancing the tides and gravity.
No matter how empty you feel, you can never be as insecure - as lacking of self love -
as the moon, which wants to be loved so badly,
it is willing to become what it is not.
